Reynolds Senior Invitational: hard-fought win for Strawn
Rusty Strawn of McDonough, Ga. closed with a 1-over par 73 to finish 3-under (213) and a one shot winner at the Reynolds Senior Invitational on the Jack Nicklaus designed Great Waters at Reynolds Lake Oconee. The steady play helped Strawn to a one-stroke win over runner-up Chris Hall (-2). In third place was David Glabicki (-1) and Steve Canady (-1).
In the Super Senior Division John Dennis emerged as the victor. Dennis fired a final round two under 70 to post 218. Mark Benefield finished 2nd at 222 followed by Robert Parmar at 223.
The Legends Division title went to Don Marsh at 4 over par 222 followed by Don Russell and Neil Spitalny at 223.
The Grand Masters Division went to Charlie Busbee after closing with an impressive round of 72 to finish at 225 followed by Steve Wilson (+10) and Walt Martin (+11).
This Reynolds Senior Invitational, formerly the Geranium Senior Invitational has been played since 1996 and his one to the longest running senior invitationals in the Southeast.
