Meet the Amateurs of the PNC Championship

Now that the 2023 PNC Championship (formerly known as the PNC Father/Son Challenge up until 2020) has concluded, Bernhard and Jason Langer have secured their third title, finishing 25-under and two shots clear of Team Duval.
The tournament is played over two days and 36 holes for the Willie Park Trophy, in memory of the father and son British Open champions Willie Park Sr. and Willie Park Jr., and the field of 20 teams plays a scramble format.
The qualifying player must have won a major championship or The Players Championship to be eligible for an invitation. The guest team members range from middle school age up to senior citizens, and sometimes include a few with tour golf careers of their own, but cannot be a touring professional at the time of the tournament.

Brady Duval
Brady Duval, 17, and his father, David Duval, former World No. 1, shot 23-under to register a runners-up finish at the 2023 PNC Championship, two strokes behind the winning Team Langer.
Brady Duval Team Duval shot rounds of 12-under 60 and 11-under 61 in the tournament.
Duval previously won the title with his stepson Nick Karavites in 2016.
Brady Duval recently signed with Coastal Carolina University, where he just finished playing his freshman season and played in two events.
Before joining college, Duval finished first at the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Amundi Evian Senior Showcase in December of 2022 with an 11-under 133 and rounds of 67-66.
Qass Singh
Qass Singh, 32, and his father, Vijay Singh, a three-time major winner and former World No.1, shot 22-under to register a second runners-up finish, three shots behind the winners and just one shot behind the Duval’s.
Team Singh, the defending champions, shot rounds of 12-under 60 and 10-under 62 in the tournament. This was their 17th appearance in the tournament.
Singh, who now works in insurance, played a season on the Minor League Golf Tour in 2013 with a best-finish of 32nd.
Qass and Vijay Singh Leo Goosen
Leo Goosen, 22, and his father, Retief Goosen, a two-time major winner from South Africa, shot 21-under to register a solo fourth-place finish in the tournament.
Goosen has played junior and amateur golf across Florida from 2016 to 2021, with a best finish of 7th at the FJT Everglades Open in August 2020.
The Goosen’s were tied for first but lost in a playoff in 2019 against Bernhard and Jason Langer to finish T2 along with the Lehmans, Tom Lehman, and Thomas Lehman.
John Daly II
John Daly Jr., and John Daly Sr. The youngest Daly is a redshirt sophomore at the University of Arkansas. He won the 2021 PNC Championship with his father, John Sr., in 2021 by two shots over Tiger and Charlie Woods. The duo also finished T2 last year to Qass and Vijay Singh.
Daly played his high school golf at the prestigious Monteverde Academy and placed third in the 2022 Florida State Amateur with rounds of 72-72-68-72.
They have played in eight PNC Championships, finishing no worse than ninth place in 2017. Team Daly finished T5 in 2023.
Charlie Woods
Woods has been no stranger to the spotlight, as the son of Tiger Woods, when the duo broke through with a T2 finish at the 2021 PNC Championship.
Woods helped his high school to a state championship this season as part of the varsity team as just a a freshman at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Team Woods finished T2 in 2021, T8 in 2022, and T5 in 2023.
